Buenas noches, aventureros. ¿Qué tal? ¿Ya están listos para la Navidad? Recuerden que lo más importante no es lo material, sino tener a nuestros seres queridos a nuestro lado.

GPS…te pierdes si no lo tienes, ¿verdad? No necesariamente.

Mi esposo compartió conmigo un video genial, que es la inspiración para esta entrada. Se trata de un muchacho que presenta cómo la tecnología afecta a nuestras vidas. Sí, es algo importante y útil, pero no es algo indispensable. Como le dijo el zorro al principito: “Lo esencial es invisible a los ojos.”

Actualmente nos perdemos de mucho por estar pendiente a los teléfonos; no hablamos con otras personas mientras esperamos en los sitios, no apreciamos la naturaleza, y muchas cosas más. Oye, a todos nos pasa, hasta a mí. Me dí cuenta de eso cuando hace poco en el “break” de la clase, en vez de chequear mi teléfono, hablé con un compañero, y él hasta me recomendó un restaurante en Bayamón al que no he ido.

Sí, las redes sociales son buenas para mantenerse al día y en contacto con familiares y amigos, pero no se pueden comparar al mundo real. No hay como una llamada o una visita. Piénsalo; aunque estés al día, al mismo tiempo puedes estar atrás. Por eso, a veces me pierdo de las redes sociales, y ni me entero de lo que pasa. Es bueno perderse de vez en cuando. ¿Qué pasaría si el muchacho en el video hubiera usado su GPS? Descúbranlo.

Right now we lose a lot by using our phones; we do not talk to others while waiting at places, we do not appreciate nature, and many other things. Hey, we all do it, even me. I realized that when recently, while on a break of class, instead of checking my phone, I spoke with a classmate, and he even recommended a restaurant in Bayamón that I have not gone to.

Yes, social networks are good to keep in contact with friends and family, but can’t compare to the real world. There is nothing like a call or a visit. Think about it; you could be ahead, but at the same time, you could be behind. That is why sometimes I get off social networks, and I do not know what happens. It's good to get lost occasionally. What if the guy in the video had used his GPS? Find out.
