Adiós/Goodbye
Adiós
Buenas noches,
aventureros.
detenido a escucharlo.
Ella habla
A veces
Gracias, Danny, Mark
y Glen, por inspirarme con su música.
Gracias por escuchar. Un abrazote.
Goodbye
Good
night, adventurers. What’s up?
Goodbye
...This is a word that is difficult to say or hear, because it sounds like
something definitive. But sometimes it is necessary.
My
favorite band, The Script, has a new album, which I had already bought and
heard, but had not stopped to listen. When I did it recently, I was surprised,
because they surpass themselves every time. This album is like a good movie
that makes you laugh, cry, and want to see again and again. One of the songs is
"No good in goodbye", which inspired this post. It talks about the
separation of a couple, and how one of them do not see anything good in
goodbye. Separations are not easy, but sometimes it is the best choice. As
usual, I am not talking about just a couple, but also about situations with
family and friends. Some people come into our lives to be there for a while,
usually because it is a lesson to be learned. What happens is that humans hang
on to what they know, and fear change, but sometimes it's just what they need.
I love
how this group speaks in their songs about things we can all identify with,
from pain, joy and love, to even patriotism.
Goodbye
can be permanent or temporary; it all depends. Anyway, time and space help to heal.
A friend told me of an experience he had with a girl that he loved very much,
but she did not love him, and even took advantage of his adoration for her.
After a while, he realized it, and although it was not easy, had to move on.
Like anyone, he got upset and cried, but then accepted it. That happened a long
time ago, and recently he told me that she sent a message to congratulate him during
the holidays. He said he felt good, because they are no longer enemies or
friends, and there are no hard feelings. He understands that he had to close
that chapter in order to move on.
The end
can be the beginning, as another song by The Script says, which I shared in a
previous post. Sometimes we follow the same route, but life moves us in another
direction; let go.
Here is
the video of the song; the lyrics are on the description. Thank you, Danny, Mark and Glen, for inspiring me with
your music.
Thanks
for listening. A big hug.

Huracán/Hurricane
Huracán
Hey aventureros!
Atrévete a contarme
Sigue
compartiendo tu magnífico talento con el mundo.
Gracias por escuchar.
Un abrazote.
Hurricane
I
opened my eyes
To the wreckage all around me
Look what you've done
Don't know why, you left without warning
Just a hit and run
Now I'm taking back all my love you stole
Erasing you baby
Got to get my mind right
Got to take control
Before I go crazy
You hit me like a hurricane
You know you got me spinning round and round
I brought you through it all the way
And you tried to take me down, down, down, down.
You thought you could bend me, break me
But I'm only stronger now (only stronger now)
Yeah, you hit me like a hurricane
But you'll never take me down, down, down, down
I was lost
Just caught up in the chaos
I was so far gone
I see it now
There was nothing that could save us
So I'm moving on
Now I'm taking back all my love you stole
Erasing you baby
Got to get my mind right
Got to take control
Before I go crazy
You hit me like a hurricane
You know you got me spinning round and round
I brought you through it all the way
And you tried to take me down, down, down, down.
You thought you could bend me, break me
But I'm only stronger now (only stronger now)
Yeah, you hit me like a hurricane
But you'll never take me down, down, down, down
You hit me like a hurricane (a hurricane)
I'm over it
Its overdue
Cause the worst part of me I left with you
I don't want you back
Don't care what you say
All the wreckage that you left
You know, I threw it away
You hit me like a hurricane
You know you got me spinning round and round
I brought you through it all the way
And you tried to take me down, down, down, down.
You thought you could bend me, break me
But I'm only stronger now (only stronger now)

Hurricane
Hey
adventurers! What’s up? We already started a new semester, which surely will end
super fast. Does anyone loves summer as much as me?
Hurricane
... But Jac, we are just in January, and the season begins in June! Keep calm;
this is another kind of hurricane.
One of
my favorite moments of 2014 was going to the concert "Hot Evolution" of
my favorite radio station, Hot 102. One of the performances that I liked the
most was the one of Chris Wallace, who took up his guitar to surprise us with a
version sound of an electronic music song. When he was going to sing one of his
songs, he said: "This song is about a girl who hurt me, but I bounce back,
because that's what you do when someone hurts you." Great! I even wrote it
down on my phone, because I knew it would be a post for this motivation blog.
That theme is "Hurricane".
Have
people you love hurt you? Sure, it has happened to all of us. And I'm not just
talking of a couple; it can be a relative or a friend. But, is it true that you
learned from this situation? Think about it ... If that had not happened, you
would not be who you are today. Everything happens for a reason.
Did you
get revenge? I hope not, because it is not worth it. If someone does not
appreciate you and even hurts you, it is best to move on. Wish him/her the
best, because you do not gain anything holding a grudge. Hey, I know it's not
easy, but hating him/her will not allow you to grow as a human being. As we clean
after a hurricane, pick up the rubbish, throw out what you do not need, and
keep walking. Do not live in the past, nor stop for anyone.
I dare you
to tell me your experience with a hurricane, and how you overcome it.
Here is
a video of the song. Thank you, Chris, for the inspiration. Keep sharing your
wonderful talent with the world.
Thanks
for listening. A big hug.
